Dignity Kits - Refugees of Ukraine
OverviewThe Body Agency Collective has partnered with Vital Voices, The Better Academy of Poland, and the Global Access to Cancer Care Foundation to support the women and children of Ukraine. Overwhelmed with stress and despair, these women and girls need the essentials to help cope by maintaining their confidence, their self-esteem, and their safety. This partnership will aid the women of Ukraine with the delivery of our ‘Dignity Kits’ to refugee camps and women serving in the Ukrainian military. The model of delivering these kits will is being replicated for other humanitarian crisis around the world. |
The Body Agency Dignity Kits are curated specifically for women and girls and are made up of products focused on good hygiene and health with sanitary items, menstrual products including pads, reusable cups, and period underwear, as well as products that promote safety. Each Dignity Kit is sent to TBA Collective's vetted and Gold Standard nonprofit partners who are working on the frontlines. One of our partners, Vital Voices, is currently working in Poland managing the secure distribution of the kits. |
The FactsThere are 6.8 million Ukrainian refugees recorded across Europe, many of these being women with limited access to menstrual hygiene products and additional healthcare resources. Women and children are among the most vulnerable in a population hit with conflict and in a crisis setting, with newborn mortality rate increases due to decreased access to health services. |
